Reviews for Coup de Tête
Review highlights
Based on 338 reviewsCoup de Tête is consistently praised for its charming atmosphere and warm, welcoming staff, creating an intimate dining experience enhanced by a small, well-curated space. The restaurant offers a seasonal menu featuring carefully presented dishes with a focus on quality ingredients and elegant flavors, appealing to those seeking authentic French cuisine. Natural wine selections are also noted as a highlight. While many diners appreciate the flavor and portion sizes, some point to occasional inconsistency in dish execution and a limited variety of vegetarian options, although there is typically at least one vegetarian choice available. Overall, Coup de Tête stands out for its creative approach and friendly service, making it a recommended destination for those valuing ambiance and thoughtfully prepared meals in a cozy Parisian setting.
Very charming little place with warm, pleasant staff. Based on all of the very positive reviews here, I must have ordered unwisely because I found the food disappointing. The mushroom soup, though good, tasted far more like pea soup. The linguini sauce was so thin that it sat in the bottom of the bowl leaving the pasta uncoated. Maybe just an off day in the kitchen. Again, since all of the reviews here have been uniformly positive, I'll probably give it a second try.
When you happen on a restaurant and then realize you have been fortunate enough to be at a fabulous French restaurant. The proprietor Lorraine Sourdille, sets the tone for a warm welcome and a gift to your senses. Creative. Gorgeous presentation. Déliceaux.
Cute restaurant with seasonal menu, tried mushroom soup, razor clams and beef - all was above expectations, tasty and elegant. Good selection of natural wines. Will definitely come back
Very good food (great quality/price). Menu is kept simple. Staff is nice and friendly. Only few tables, booking highly recommended.
Food was absolutely delicious with good portion sizes. I was a little disappointed with the lack of variety for vegetarian options. There was thankfully one veg plat and entrée but it would've been nice to have some options. The exact menu varies slightly day (there always will be 1 veg option though) and thus, may slightly differ from the one on the site e.g. when we went they had the aubergine rôti as the veg dish instead of butternut risotto as on the site. The staff was really sweet. Indoor Seating for about 24 people, some outdoor seating available as well. We'd called a couole of weeks in advance to reserve a spot for 14 people and it worked out well.
Great casual dining experience highly recommended to all who are looking to eat well without attending a super pretentious place. Will definitely be back!
I absolutely love this place and will make it one of my go-to places in the neighborhood. The quality of the food is amazing and the people are so nice and make you feel comfortable. Outdoor and indoor seating is nice, very nice atmosphere and cozy. One of my favorites in this neighborhood for sure!
One of the best meals we had during our stay in terms of value price. They have a short menu, probably changing every day, we strongly recommend the mussels. The wine choices are also good ( at least a bit different from the rest of the restaurants in the area). The good service is also something to be highlighted Only thing to bear into account is that reservation is needed, the place is really small.
